A beautiful baby girl with all pink buttons and bows thus we will be celebrating first birthdays using the color theme pink with a dash of buttons and bows not to mention a splash of blinng.

Sit back, grap a cupcake and punch and enjoy Lily's first birthday. If you just happened upon my blog by mistake, I want you to get your big girl shoes and panties on and start at the beginning which is Lynne at SEW, if you came from then you are in the right place.

For our blog candy, it is going to be a pink package with buttons and bows of course with a bit of splash of bling and Stickles by becoming eligible with just leaving a comment on each baby step along the way and becoming a new follower if you sew desire!! How easy is that!!!!

A Lily for Lily

I would have loved to get this card when I was a little girl.  Buttons, bows, flowers, pink!  What else could a girl want.

Football is on?

Happy Super Bowl!

And now moving on....

Valentines Day is around the corner.  And I had a ball making cards.

This stamp set is from Stampinup! and it is adorable.  I love the kissing flamingos.  I backed the image with paper flowers, and the sentiment is vellum, which I swipped the edges with ink.

Hope you all are enjoying your football, and that you have your eyes on someone to be your Valentine.  Do something very special for your Hunny this year - forget flowers, or chocolates.  (But not the cute cards!)  Make the gifts count, and make sure they are from your heart.

I love you, Frodo!

Muppets Back Together Again...REVISED AGAIN

Don't you just love remembering the Muppet Show that was on TV back in the 80's? The theme song still runs through my head!!!! The Muppets are just as popular as in the 80's with the movie that came out at Thanksgiving of 2011! The Muppets are Back Together Again. To show tribute to our love of Jim Henson's Muppets, this hop is dedicated to the Muppets Back Together Again!

My favorite Muppet is Animal!!! He is a free, crazy spirit, that doesn't give a hoot about grammar or vocabulary!

Sit back and recall your youth of the 80's and remember your favorite Muppet! And we have retro blog candy:
(1) Two 8.5 x 11 tie died paper, two 12 x 12 Groovy Baby tied die paper, Just Add self-stick peace sign gems, Scrappy Cat Peace Sign, Peace, wit bling, and Jolee's by You Dimensional New York Sticker along with a yard of some tie-die ribbon to "tie" your project together!! What a groovy candy for all you special people.
(2) We have some beautiful flowers that Shannon Leffew Keith makes at
(3) A paper piecing from

Be sure to remark on each of the hops along the way while we show you our favorite Muppet, with your remarks. Be sure to let us know who your favorite Muppet is.

If you just happened upon my blog today, I don't want you to miss any of the show!!! The hop begins with Kari at Go visit Kari and check out her phenomenal project with the muppets!

NOW, it's on with the show with Scooter and Kermit being the emcee . . . just don't pay attention to the hecklers up there in the private booth - they're just too opinated and OLD!!

Me Me?

My brother and his girlfriend of 9 years FINALLY decided to get engaged.  My Mother and I are throwing my future sister-in-law a Muppets-themed bridal shower.  Her favorite character is Beaker.

On the inside of the card, I put the translation:  Beaker is trying to say "You're getting married?"  I pulled the image of Beaker off Google Images and then matted in on Mulberry paper (love that stuff!).  The letters are from those sticker packs you can get from any scrapbooking store.

Here is the line-up in case you get lost...

Happy New Year!

It is now 2012, and I am feeling empowered.  Hubby and I have re-prioritized our lives, and I see nothing but good things ahead for us this year.

Here's a toast to new beginnings!

My cousin is having a baby, and I needed a card to go with the gift.  I learned this technique in my Saturday Morning Club.  The sun and plants are on watercolor paper.  If you spritz - and I mean spritz, so get a spray bottle with a misty, thin spray setting - and then ink your stamp in the color of your choice, you can stamp onto the damp paper.  I love the way it looks.  It soaks up some of the ink and spreads it out a little.

I hope your new year is amazing.  I wish nothing but wonderful things for each and every one of you!

Ringing in the new...
